Why would your camera scream for the 18-55, when that range is within the 18-135 range? What was lacking with the 18-135?

I'm 75. So what?

My wife went to a baby shower today at a local state park. I took my camera bag and took a bunch of photos. I used my 18-135mm as it has proved to be a great "all around" lens for my T7. However...I found it lacking in some photos that screamed for the 18-55mm lens. Several years ago, my wife found a generic vest at Bass Pro Shops that fit the ticket for extra lens or two, batteries and filters. Next time, I'll plan more carefully. Live and learn? My grandfather said you are never too young to learn. I'm 77!

Needed to get a wider view of the spring in the park; Red Clay SP which is the last meeting place of the Cherokee before the Trail of Tears. Very limited in where I could stand to get the full photo of the spring.

Edit- It's a 28-135mm.

18-55 is no wider than 18-135. But wait! Your equipment list says you have a 28-135. So, which is it?

It's 28-135mm. Hit the wrong number key...happens a lot these days.

The access to the area for photos around the spring is limited by trees, shrubs and park rules. Gives me an excuse to go back. BTW, one of the nicest state parks in Tennessee. It is south of Cleveland, Tennessee almost to the Georgia line. Easy to find off I-75, Exit 20...if you are ever in the area on the way to Mouse Land.
