How do you register a lens received as a gift?

I received a new lens as a gift. How do you register a product when you do not have the date of purchase (which I could potentially get) or the receipt to attach (which would be inappropriate for me to even ask for).

Congrats on your new lens! If you received it as a gift, just put down the date you received it as the purchase date and we'll accept that. You can skip the receipt bit if you don't have it. Hope this helps!

We have received a gift receipt that gives the all necessary information except for the price. We get one for the family gifts.
