Which A4 Photo Printer exclusively for photography

Hi all,

Getting back into photography after a 8year sabbatical. So, ‘collecting’ New and used gear to ease back in.

My question is this:- which Canon colour printer is best suited to purchase exclusively for printing A4 sized photographs?

I am not sure whether to go Laser or Inkjet

(I will print selected photographs on both glossy and lustre sheets).

Any suggestions and recommendations based on a maximum $1,500 budget. (To include inks/cartridge for 200 prints initially).

An inkjet printer is what you want, not a laser. You can print on lots of surface types with inkjet papers on inkjet printers. Glossy papers for lasers are limited, and not like gloss inkjet papers at all. And laser toner is not glossy.

I ‘roam’ between the UK & Bulgaria. So, it would need to be Euro-specs. This printer will reside permanently in Bulgaria.

This helps a great deal - Inkjet is the way to go! I’ll check online at the Canon store & others for available models.
