topic Expired Card on Backordered Item in General Discussion

I placed an order for a backordered item on the 15th of January with my card that expires in March of this year (VERY soon). On the Canon website, it states in their terms of sale, "If your card expires before the order is shipped, we will notify you and ask you to enter the credit/debit card number again with the new expiration date." This might sound like a dumb question, but would this apply to a backorder as well? I don't want to have to cancel my order and place it again, putting me further back on the list. I also put my new card information as my default payment for the payment method on my Canon account.
