No, but for someone who is not a professional and enjoys to take pictures, I do not want to go through the troubles of learning every detail needed to know how to take a good enough picture, not everyone has time to learn about all aspects such as aperture affects depth of field, shutter speed affects motion blur and ISO speed affects image noise, etc.

Have they thought of putting AI into the cams or are they working on something like that?

What do you want AI to do? Do you want all thought processes eliminated from using a camera?

AI still can't read your mind. How is it supposed to know what you want to do?

And the modern automated exposure setting *is* a form of AI. They take thousands of images and distill those down to determine the correct exposure setting

Right. If you don't want to learn how to do photography more than just pressing the shutter button. please do not get anything more than a simple point & shoot. Using a camera set on "P" mode or "A" mode will get you pleasing results most of the time. Or use the Basic modes....sports, portrait, night sky, etc..

Canon has done a tremendous amount of thinking for you in providing all the automation cameras already have. If you don't want to have to think about what you are doing AT ALL, you're in the wrong hobby!

And no, I am not a "professional". Just been doing and learning for 60 years.
