Found this website: Fstoppers

I check the news on my phone every morning. The last few days, I have seen a website dealing with all kinds of photography items as tips, product reviews, etc. I clicked on the URL but didn't register until I got some advice from the community. The name is Fstoppers. Anyone familiar with it?

Yes, Fstoppers is a well known photography website. They also have a YouTube channel with a lot of informational videos. I would suggest you check that out first before you register for the site but I wouldn't be concerned about joining. Just be prepared to get a lot of email from that as they share their mailing list with vendors. .

Walt, thanks for the information. I'm already bombarded with emails where I won electric drills, BBQ grills, etc. but the user name is an indication it is a scam. Plus, many American companies don't have websites or emails that end in "uk." I just delete them. Tried to block them but I'm at the limit of 250. Deleting emails is a hobby for me now when I don't have anything else to do.

I spent some time browsing through Fstoppers. Interesting things from product reviews to tips for better photography. I was particularly interested in several areas dealing with landscape photography, photographing waterfalls for maximum effect. I'm going to try it for a while. If it becomes a nuisance with emails, I can discontinue the subscription.

Bringing this to the top. Found it to be very interesting. I replied to a series of photos and got a detailed reply from a member explaning his technique. Found it to be helpful plus I have used one way...telephoto lens for macro photos.
