Does the paper feed roller turn when there is no paper loaded and the advance button is pressed?
Are you using the printer with batteries or is it plugged ingot the wall?

For my P23-DHV it appears that that paper feed roller is not turning. My calculator is plugged into the wall.

I have the same problem. No movemnt or sound when FEED is pressed, Only response it an E appearing. New batteries are in unit.

It is plugged into the wall. There is paper stuck which I cannot remove.
