    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi cdevereux.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The driver installation for Windows operating systems is bundled with the IJ Scan Utility software. On Mac OS, the software needs to be downloaded separately (from HERE), and LiDE 400 needs to be manually registered as a scanner (in Device Settings &amp;gt;&amp;gt; Printers &amp;amp; Scanners list). If the computer is a laptop, you will need it to be plugged in and charging to ensure proper USB strength.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If this answered your question, please click the &lt;STRONG&gt;Accept as Solution&lt;/STRONG&gt; button, so others might find the answer.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi Micheal&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;it happened while my laptop tried but failed to install the driver ( &lt;SPAN&gt;win-lide400-1_0-n_mcd.exe)&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;both from the cd and online.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;my laptop is running on windows 7 sp1&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;thanks&lt;/P&gt;</description>
