    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi everyone,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I just got a CanoScan 9000F and I can't make it work with the MF tools.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;First of all: I am using OS X 10.11.2 and I can use the scanner&amp;nbsp;trough the system preferences, but that only offers me limited options and since I mainly want to scan film, it doesn't seperate the individual negatives from each other.&amp;nbsp;Therefore I want to use the Canon software to do so.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;However, even though the scanner appears in my printer &amp;amp; scanner settings in the&amp;nbsp;system preferences, MF Toolbox and&amp;nbsp;Canon MF Scan Utility can't find the scanner. Same for&amp;nbsp;Canon IJ Scan Utility2.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I also installed the two drivers from here:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://www.canon.de/support/consumer_products/products/scanners/canoscan_series/canoscan_9000f.aspx?type=drivers&amp;amp;language=&amp;amp;os=OS%20X%2010.11%20(El%20Capitan)" target="_blank"&gt;http://www.canon.de/support/consumer_products/products/scanners/canoscan_series/canoscan_9000f.aspx?type=drivers&amp;amp;language=&amp;amp;os=OS%20X%2010.11%20(El%20Capitan)&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I don't know what to do anymore and would be really gratefull for any help!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;The CanoScan 9000F has a horrific software interface, and Canon has indicated no interest in improving the platform. My best advice is to toss the device and buy a real scanner from Epson, HP, or Visioneer.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
