"Stand alone" printers

Are all Canon ink jet printer (scan/copy/fax/print) units "stand alone" capable without the need for a computer in order to be functional? I have been getting conflicting information online and would like to resolve this. Thanks for the help.

Hi bjack,

Our Multifunction Inkjet printers can be used standalone without the need for the computer when using the fax and copy modes. Some of our multifunction untis do provide the option to scan and print select documents/photos from memory cards or USB devices; however, to utilize the full range of scanning and printing capabilities, the printer will need to be installed on and connected to a computer.
