topic Renaming a scanned file in General Discussion

After I scan a document, I edit it in order to change the file name. It then gets saved to my company's network drive. When I go to access that file, it will be named as I named it, but also includes an additional 10-12 numbers after it. I then have to edit the name again. Is there a way to have it only be saved as the name I give it? Thanks

There is not enough details on what software you are using but in general, the software has the option for you to append dates and other info onto the file name. This must be what's happening. You should look for the options and get rid of whatever is added automatically to your file name or edit (e.g. using Windows) the file names after all scanning are done.
