topic Scanner Problem in General Discussion

Hello guys. Not sure if this is the correct board but I have a Canon 4400F scanner and it has just started playing up. Instead of scans showing crisp black lines, it is scanning cyan then magenta then yellow with a slight overlap with the end result that a horizontal line for example is made up of three consecutive coloured lines and text is only black in the middle (where all colours overlap) and has coloured edging. I have reinstalled drivers etc but to no avail. The scanner is effectively brand new, I bought sealed and its only done about 50 pages of scanning. Any ideas? Thank in advance.
