New PC build running Windows 10 pro 64 bit. Am trying to used a Canoscan 5600F. When I install the software either from the original disk or the most recent download from Canon site, it requires a reboot whereupon the PC hangs jrigjt after the bios screen (just keeps scrolling). I cannot get windows to boot except with the install disk and then if I recover to the last recover point (which wipes the canon software install, I can boot, but it takes a long time.

canon no longer supports this device beyond providing driver/software downloads. Any thoughts. I assume it to be a Windows 10 issue as all worked well on the last Pc which was Win 7.....and the new PC works okay without the canon software.
