can one monitor audio off the eos 70d?

I'm considerng the EOS 70D for some still and video work. Can one monitor audio off the EOS 70D while recording video?

Thanks for posting.

There is not a port on the EOS 70D that allows headphones to be connected for monitoring audio. However, the camera does have an HDMI port, which carries an audio signal. You can send the HDMI signal to an external monitor that does allow you to connect headphones and monitor the audio.
