Definitely agree with Waddizzle on the EOS R50. Additionally, if you don't plan on picking up RF lenses anytime soon (beyond the kit lens), I would recommend getting the EF to RF adapter with the control ring (especially since on sale now at least at B&H Photo for $149; regular $199).

Time for a change - EOS Rebel T6i Upgrade Recommendations

I’ve been working with the T6i rebel for 7-8 years now and I’m looking to upgrade to something better for what I do. I shoot literally everything from cars to wildlife to straight portraits so I just wanna get something mirrorless and just overall better for a decent price. My budget is really from 7-1200, I also have been dabbing in videos too just for the fun of it. what are some good recommendations for upgrades in 2023?

I would recommend R50 in camera kit with an RF series lens. You can use your current lenses with the camera, but doing so requires the Canon mount adapter. Adapters have been in high demand for many months.

https://www.usa.canon.com/shop/p/eos-r50?color=Black&type=New
