Hi! I have a Canon EOS Rebel SL3, and I recently recieved an Opteka 35mm lens for Canon EF-M.

Is there an adapter that I could use with the lens so that it works with my camera? It doesn't fit normally but I still wanted to use it.

No; no adapter exists (nor is it possible) to mount an EF-M lens onto your EF-S mount body.

See Will Lens X Work on Camera Y for details about what is possible.

EF-M lenses CAN NOT be adapted to DSLR cameras. However DSLR lenses can be adapted to EOS-M/ EF-M mount cameras.

-Demetrius

Happy New Year

EF 16-35mm F/2.8L III USM, EF 24-70mm F/2.8L II USM, EF 28-135mm F/3.5-5.6 IS USM (Retired), EF 50 F/1.8 STM, EF 85mm F/1.8 USM & EF 70-200mm F/2.8L IS III USM

EOS 40D (Retired) & 5D Mark IV

430EX III-RT, 470EX-AI & 600EX II-RT

Ditto what the others have said. If you want to understand why, here's an article that might help: https://moonblink.info/MudLake/gear/lenses

One lucky thing is, if it's like other Opteka lenses, it a good thing you can't use it. There is a reason it is a fraction of the cost of the Canon EF 35mm f/2 IS USM Lens.

Okay! Based on your link, I found a Yongnuo YN 35mm f/2 lens for Canon EF so that should work for my camera then!
