Hello! The EOS Digital Rebel XS (EOS 1000D) was retired in 2015. Canon USA no longer supports this unit.

Eoscard has 1.0.7, but that will probably not help you due to the firmware bug in 1000D. You should have installed the new firmware before the busy message started to appear.

It has been mentioned here before. Search for 1000D busy.
