90D Canon file name change

I would like to change my 90D Canon file name from IMG_XXXX to a different file name.

The 90D doesn't provide that option in camera.

You can download the files to your computer and then use the Rename Tool in Canon DPP4 to do what you want.

If you use the EOS Utility to download your files, then you can use it to rename the files as it downloads. It can rename them using camera model, shooting date, etc.,and sort the files into separate folders during the download.

EOSU is a one step process vs two for DPP4 but has less flexibility in renaming.

Depends on what the OP's goal is.

I rename the files and create folders according shooting date and time. It is easier for me to edit in LR that way. I rename the output JPG files and create output folders in LR.
