Hi there,

Looking into the custom button functions unfortunately it doesn't look like both functions can be assigned concurrently. Pages 831-836 list all of the possible button assignments for each customizable button on the camera.

I like to do wildlife photography and am trying to set up the * button on the back of the camera. I would like to know if there is a way to have it so that when I press the* button it goes to the 9 point expanded AF area setting and will lock on a subject and follow it on the screen. Like the eye detect and tracking does. I am using back button focus. I have the * set up now to go to the 9 point expanded AF area but it will not track.

Thanks for any help you can give me.
