      <description>&lt;P&gt;Turn off the camera, and remove the memory card. &amp;nbsp;Leave it out. &amp;nbsp;You need a new one, most likely.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hopefully, the display has returned when you turn the camera on. &amp;nbsp;If so, turn the top dial to P shooting mode. &amp;nbsp;Go into the menus, and reset the camera back to factory defaults.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Try this:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1. go to the menu and find the option to "Clear all camera settings" - select it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2. set lens to AF&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;3. Set Camera to A (usually in a green square)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;4. press the DOF preview button near lens mount while looking through viewfiner - does image darken?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;5. go outside on a sunny day and snap a photo of something.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Still have that problem? If so, most likely defective. Will the seller take it back?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
