Many third party apps do not work with all Canon models. The best way to get an accurate shutter count is to send it in to Canon Service for a C&C, cleaning and checkup, and request a shutter count.

This is the correct answer. You can't trust the apps that offer shutter count. They might be accurate but sometimes they are not.
