Still way short on the required information but here is a shot.

Are you talking the OS will not see it or the Canon software won't?

Since your camera is a 2006 model, Canon's newest versions may not be able to support it any longer. Use the soiftware that came with the camera and don't update it.

WIndows 7 does not require any drivers t see the camera. WHne you plug in the USB it will know it's there.
