If it is an "Official" Canon kit lens, usually the EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II, it will be a good starter lens. However, you won't know if you need another one until you come to that point in your photography where you want more reach or maybe want to do macro. So really, you are the one to answer that question. My advice is to get to know your rig and then think about another lens. Do not succumb to "lens lust" until you are comfortable with what you have.
