CANON 200D SL2 wont detect my mic.

I bought canon 200d sl2. And it wont detect external mic. Everytime i plug in the cable the db meter wont even move. I already put it in manual, and set the sound recording. I need help on this 😊 thank you

Which mic do you have? Has it worked in other cameras? Which cameras?

I havent tried it on other cameras and the model of the microphone is senda mm1. I saw other vloggers trying it on the canon 200d it worked.. I dunno why mine didnt.

I suggest that you ask those other vloggers about it. This is Canon user forum, which focuses almost exclusively Canon gear. Making your third party microphone work with your Canon camera is not a Canon problem. It is a third party gear problem.
