topic EOS RP USB Connectivity Issue in EOS DSLR & Mirrorless Cameras

Hello!

I've been having trouble getting my RP to connect to my laptop via USB. I'm using a TetherTools cable and was able to connect successfully yesterday for data transfer and tethered shooting. Since then I haven't been able to get make a successful connection - the screen on the camera just keeps turning on and off repeatedly. I'm assuming this has something to do with it trying to charge via the cable. If so, is there some way to force the camera to only see the connection as a data transfer and not a power source?

I also tried plugging it in with the camera off and on to see if that was somehow triggering it, but that didn't seem to make a difference.

Any troubleshooting help would be really appreciated!

Thanks,

Tristan
