The most common reasons for this assuming your battery didn't die (it may show fully charged in the charging dock but due to an internal cell fault will be unable to produce usable power under load) is either the microswitch on the card or battery compartment doors that prevents power up when either is open.

Open and close the card door a few times (and remove the card as suggested) to see whether that restores function once the battery is installed.

IF there is a local camera store, they MAY be willing to try one of their batteries in hopes of selling you a replacement if the Canon battery died. It isn't common, but LiOn batteries can develop high resistance in one of the cells causing voltage to drop to near 0 once any load is put on the battery pack.

Rodger

Hi All,

I have a Canon 6D Mark ii just over a year old (out of warranty) that I
haven't used in a few weeks, Took it out yesterday and turned it on.
Dead as a door nail. Thought it might be the battery (Canon brand) so
made sure it was charged to full. Put it back in, no joy. I've seen
loads of 'tips' videos on youtube and spent hours online researching but
nothing works. Any tips before I send it off to be repaired and am
charged an arm and a leg?

new porn and reviews on them appear first here https://freeadultpornlist.com

Greetings,

Start by removing the lens and memory card. Then test with a fully charged battery inserted. Not much else you can do.

Repair cost.

The charge will depend on the type and level of failure. Hopefully,. It won't be serious whatever it is.

"I have a Canon 6D Mark ii just over a year old..."

You have to be very unlucky to have a just one year old 6D Mk II die on the shelf. Call Canon and tell them exactly what the situation is. If you send it in for repair they will know if it was abused some how. Like I forgot to mention I dropped it a while ago or it got wet just a little.
