Canon M100 - unable to see view finder when connected to hdmi out

Hi,

I have a canon EOS M100 and am using it as a webcam for live streaming, but when connected to hdmi out the view finder turns blank, the menu settings can only be seen on the streaming software.

Is there any way to keep the view finder ON when connected to HDMI out during live streaming.

Really appreciate some suggestions and responses.

P.S. HDMI clean out scripts run through the SD card when powered ON.

Most of these cameras have only one set of video hardware and it can drive the viewfinder, the LCD or the HDMI, but only one.
