How to keep phone app connected to camera? (R5)

Hello,

I bought the R5, and am trying to use the GPS connection through smartphone feature. I am able to connect to bluetooth, but as soon as the camera turns off (eco mode is on, 3 minutes auto shutdown is on), the app disconnects (obviously), but when the camera is woken up again, the app can't find the camera. I need to close the app and reopen for it to find it. How can I make the app always pair to the camera when the camera turns on?

Also, since this kept happening, I tried the 'Logging" location information, and when I tried to send to camera, it says I need to connect over wifi, not bluetooth. So I switched to the wifi connection, and then it says something like 'This feature is not available with this model" .
