    <description>&lt;P&gt;Yes you can. &amp;nbsp;As Mike points out, you will need that adapter.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This is because a lens is designed to be positioned at a specific distance away from the camera's sensor. &amp;nbsp;On all EOS DSLR bodies (Rebels, mid-range, and pro bodies), the "flange to focal plane" distance is 44mm. &amp;nbsp;The EOS-M body has a much shorter "flange to focal plane distance" of only 18mm but it's EF-M lenses are designed to work with that shorter distance. &amp;nbsp;The shorter distance is possible because it's a mirrorless camera -- hence no need to leave enough room for the mirror to swing clear of the lens.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The other lenses are designed for cameras which DO have mirrors... hence they are designed for a longer flange to focal plane distance -- and this is what the adapter does. &amp;nbsp;It allows the lenses to be mounted at the correct distance so that the image will come to focus correctly.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
