I need a driver for Windows 8 x64 for the EOS Rebel XT....I can't seem to find one anywhere. My Camera will work with it if I have it in PTP mode, but my Photobooth software will not recognize my camera unless it is in PC Connection mode. For PC connection mode i need the driver.

Update:

So I see that there may never be an updated driver for Windows 8. Why? Is there a work around or do I have to just buy a new camera? Please help, my photobooth plan was all based around the fact that I already had a DSLR camera, now it seems I may have to start from scratch.

Hi Ezmerelda70,

Regrettably, the connection of the EOS Rebel XT to Windows Vista and later will require the use of the PTP communications mode.
