topic Humidity limits for Rebel SL1 in EOS DSLR & Mirrorless Cameras

Proud new owner of the SL1 and reading about the specs, it says Humidity tolerance up to 85%. I recently moved to Miami and there could be humidity greater than 90%. Many times as I transfer the pictures to the computer, the camera stays out of its bag and within a meter or two of an open window.

Should I take extra precaution when left out of the bag for many hours, or am I worrying too much?

I wouldn't worrry about it under the conditions described. I would let it warm up in the carry bag if you are cold building and going outside into high humidity; you might get some lens fogging.
