    <description>&lt;P&gt;I don't know, how about 4?&amp;nbsp; It is the default.&amp;nbsp; Are your pictures not sharp enough?&amp;nbsp; Post processing sharpness is a personal preference, if it's not enough for you, turn it up (keep in mind you can't go back).&amp;nbsp; Too much, back it off (can always do more in post).&amp;nbsp; Nobody can tell you which number you should use.&amp;nbsp; Sorry.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Keep in mind this is just post processing sharpness. Basically it just adds dark and light accents to the edges of high contrast areas to increase the effect of sharpness.&amp;nbsp; A little bit looks good, but too much looks quite bad, IMHO.&amp;nbsp; The in-camera sharpness is not a substitute for getting sharp, in-focus shots.&amp;nbsp; And you can’t correct an out-of-focus shot with this function.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Also keep in mind that if you're shooting RAW that those settings aren't applied in most post processing software.&amp;nbsp; It's one of the nice things about RAW, you can choose exactly how much or how little you want after you see it on a monitor.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
