No, it has no radio capability, it has to use the built in flash for wireless control.

One of which is Canon. The Canon transmitter costs $280 at B&H. But the 430EX III-RT, which includes a radio receiver, is on sale for $260. And your 600EX-RT can serve as a transmitter, even if you have its flash head turned off. Which would give you the flexibility of two radio-capable flash units. There may be a no-brainer lurking in there somewhere.

There are no Canon camera models that have a built-in radio master that can control a flash. Controlling a 600EX-RT via radio requires a radio transmitter such as:

1) The ST-E3-RT transmitter

2) Another 600EX-RT mounted on-camera and put it master mode, or

3) A 430EX III-RT mounted on-camera and in master mode.

You can trigger the 600EX-RT in "optical" mode using the pop-up flash on the T5i.

No Bob and you did not say that the 430 EX III RT could be used as a MASTER flash in radio wireless mode.

Yeah, that's what I thought too (which is why I weasel-worded my suggestion). But while I have a 600EX-RT, I've never used (or even seen) a 430EX III-RT.

The 430EX III-RT can function as a Master or Slave when in radio wireless, but, can only function as a slave in optical wireless.

I assume that far right column header has a typo. Shouldn't it be 430EX II? BTW, B&H is sold out of 430EX IIs.

There is a 430EX III (non-RT) for sale in countries where the radio trigger would be illegal, due using radio frequencies.
