Thank you for posting.

The EOS Rebel T5 isn't compatible with any wireless remotes. It can only work with the wired Remote Switch RS-60E3.

There are third party release that connect a module to the camera's "wired" port... But have a remote module to trigger the release. In other words the provide wireless function to cameras that can only accommodate a wired release.

You might look for a Vello "FreeWave" or Vello "ShutterBoss". I think they run about $60-80.

Vello makes these for numerous brands of camera. You need the version that supports Canon sub-mini type connection.
