How do I set the interface language when I have only Japanese and English on my 7D?

Just bought a used Canon 7D with less than 10,000 actuautions.

Menu for Language Ptreference only shows English and Japanese.

How can I upload additional languages for this Canon camera EOS 7D?

Sounds like you purchased a used Japanese domestic market (JDM) camera, which only has two languages.

I don't believe the additional laguages can be added.

Where are you in NH?

Seems like this is a strange policy.

English/Japanese only?

Something you might expect in Quebec, Canada for French/English but not Japan.

Just installed the 2.0.5 Firmware and that had no effect.

Usually there are multiple languages available.

Where am I in NH?

I am an expat from Hampstead, NH that has been living in Montreal for the last 25+ years.

I found this thread on DPReview.

Looks like maybe you can get the ROM replaced but probably not worth it since you are OK with the English menu.

Seems the JDM does many unique things. Rebels are Kiss seriies in JPN, but XXXD servies everywhere else in the world outside of North America.
