canon rebel XS continuously displays "BUSY" in viewfinder display.

canon rebel XSi continuously displays "BUSY" in viewfinder display. Will not do anything after powering on.

Tried different lenses, different memory cards, tried it all. Does it with or without lens attached or memory card in slot.

Cant access menus. Lcd stays dark

Sounds like it is probably done. You can have it looked at but I suspect you will not like the estimate to fix it.

You did remove all the batteries from the XSi and leave it overnight? You are sure the battery and the charger are working perfectly?

Although... if it is done, save the body. Canon has a loyalty program which would allow you to trade in your broken body for a newer body (usually refurbished) at a pretty good discount. You have to phone Canon support to get the details.
