T2i will not power on

My Canon T2i has no power. At first I re-charged the battery. The battery does not sit in the camera if I' m going to use regularly. To no avail, so I thought the battery may need to be replaced so I purchased a new Canon battery from Amazon. I charged the new battery for a few hours before trying it, same thing no power at all. Is this a common problem with this model?

Hi Makii,

It's not clear why your EOS Rebel T2i won't power on.

At this point, I recommend sending your camera in for repair. I'd include the battery and charger with the camera to ensure that they're working correctly. Please make a note of them on the documentation you include with your camera. Please let them know that you'd like these accessories tested with your camera.
