Hi sbroussard09!

Thanks for posting and welcome to the Canon Forum.

Remove the battery from the camera for a few minutes before trying to use it again. If the error continues to show, something with the flash has malfunctioned and the camera will need repair. To start the repair process, you'll need to complete a Repair Request on our website.

A different model but the same error was cleared after a clean up.
