      <description>&lt;P&gt;Older Rebels didn't use the new (at the time) Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP) by default, but most recent software expects it. Maybe that's your problem. If so, there should be a menu item on the camera to select PTP as an override.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Also, make sure you have the latest versions of the Canon software. The solutions disk that came with your camera is sure to be too old. I believe 29A is the first one that supports any form of Windows 8.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;"I loaded EOS digital solutions disk and the new laptop will not recognize my rebel t3."&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;If you go to My Computer" or "This PC" folder, do you see the T3 at all? &amp;nbsp;Win 8 should see it without any additional drivers or software. &amp;nbsp;It will look like another drive or memory card, etc.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
