My c2r files are empty,

I set my Rebel 2Ti to take both cr2 and jpep pictures at the same time.

My cr2 files are empty.

My jpegs are fine.

What is wrong?

Sorry, but I have to ask, in order to better understand your issue, and to reproduce your scenario..

Are you downloading the files to a computer or storage device? By what means have you reached the conclusion that the CR2 files are empty?. What is the size of the files on your memory card, or hard drive? What software are you using to open the files?

Regular computer software recognizes jpg's but nor CR2's so you need to install either the software provided with your camera (DPP) or one of the aftermarket packages such as Adobe Camera Raw & Photoshop Elements etc. Be advised each time Canon introduces a new camera it's CR2's need the most recent version of DPP etc because the file name stays as CR2 but the structure is different than previous CR2's.

I am new here, but I have seen the same thing, but it was with the EOS 1000D/ XS. My jpegs were fine, RAWS by themselves were fine, but when I took RAW+JPEGs the RAWs could not be read - even by DPP!
