Is there digital zoom on the Canon Rebel T5?

I realize there is optical zoom by twisting the lens on my Canon Rebel T5, but I like digital zoomed shots as well. My older Powershot had both optical and digital zoom shooting. I expected the Rebel T5 to have both as well. I need to be able to zoom closer than what the 55 mm provides? Any recommendations for a better zoom lens? Does digital zoom exist on this model other than cropping after?

No digital zoom

If you have the 18-55mm lens consider a 18-135 or 55-250 zoom.

Thanks for a clear answer! Now, this may be a stupid question, but can I keep the 18-55 mm lens and also have that 55-250 mm lens on the camera at the same time?

No on two lenses. But Canon sells an 18-200mm lens and you can get third party 18-270mm lens that will give you that zoom range with single lens on camera.
