topic Auto focus stopped working on EOS Rebel T5 in EOS DSLR & Mirrorless Cameras

I haven't dropped the camera or anything, but when I tried to take a picture the auto focus wasn't working. I can still focus it manually, but it's a little frustrating. Is it a problem with the lens or camera?

Did the AF/MF switch on the lens get moved off AF by accident?

Can you get access to another lens to try?

Art,

What lens it it? The standard kit lens that comes with a Rebel is notorious for jumping gears. You can remover it from the camera and run the focus to both extremes and hopefully put in back in gear. It may click a time or two and you need to be gentle with it but it may work.
