topic Memory card says full but it is not. in EOS DSLR & Mirrorless Cameras

I have a Canon DS6041 ( I don't know if that's the model or anything, I got the camera used from my father-in-law and am not familiar with these cameras at all). The memory card is 1 GB Sandisk. When I attach the camera to the computer to upload my pics, it says Removable Storage and shows that the storage is almost full. I have removed all of the pictures and videos from the camera, but the storage is still showing almost full. When I try to view images on the camera, it says no images, so that should mean it's empty, right? My husband recently formatted the camera and it did not clear any space on the card at all. We are wondering why it shows full when it seems empty and what we can do to fix it.

Thank you!

Hi Nicolestrine,

Thank you for taking time to post.

When you formatted the memory card, did you do this in the camera (recommended) or on your computer (not recommended)?

Have you tried a second Compact Flash card in your camera?
