A Rebel XTi in perfect condition sells on the used market for $200 to $250. That is what you can spend on repairing yours.

Or you could put that same $250 towards the purchase of a current production Rebel and gain significant upgrades.

I accidentally messed with the mirror and the AF setting no longer works. Is it possible for cannon to install a new mirror? All answers will be very helpful.

In theory, yes, Canon can install a new mirror. But, 1. Depending on the age of the camera Canon may no longer service it and 2. If they do service it the cost may be such that for a little more you could get a newer camera.

You our could salon look into an independent repair shop.

Call Canon at 1-800-OK-CANON.
