    <description>&lt;P&gt;Addendum:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I checked on my XS and I was correct. There is no provision for IR remote on the XS, you can use the wired RS-60E3. There is no "setting" for the wired remote, it just overrides the shutter button.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;If you mean the IR remote, I don't believe the XS can do that, you have to use the wired remote.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>THANK YOU .... I sure appreciate the info and glad to know that I really wasn't as stupid as I was feeling lol I did also purchase a wired remote so I am set!!</description>
