EOS 7D - Keeps restarting video??!!

Hi there,

I've had this problem for a while. It'll start doing it... and stop doing it seemingly randomly. No settings changes. I have searched and found no answer.

In live mode I'll record a bit (length of time doesn't seem to matter), click 'stop', it stops... and then just starts filming again! When I look at the recorded clips they are separate videos. The only way to get it to stop filming is to turn the camera off or switch to still mode and then back to live. Again, this doesn't always happen but I'm not knowingly changing any setting.

Is this a setting? Some option to continually record and the button just creates a new file - instead of really and truely just stopping?

Nope, it should not do that. Could be a bad movie button.
