T3i Rebel movie mode broke!!!

All of my cam modes work. However I havent shot a video in a while, but when I switched to movie mode it recently just shows a blank screen and believe it powers off. Any suggestions on problems or fixes would be greatly appreciated.

Blank screen? That's not good. Can you take still photos in Live View mode? Is it still shutting down and turning itself off?

Switch the camera to Manual Mode, and the lens to MF. What happens if you go outside at night, in the dark, and try to take a long exposure? Let's say a shutter speeds between 1-10 seconds, or even 30 seconds. Narrow the aperture down as far as it will go, f/22 or higher, or just leave the lens cap on so as not to damage the sensor, Is it still shutting down and turning itself off?
