topic 7d /18-200mm lens problem in EOS DSLR & Mirrorless Cameras

So today i turn on my camera and switch on af, but the lense just focusses by itself and is then unresposive. Simultaneously the lcd display and all the buttons dont work i.e. q, info, nothing... when switched to ca mode the lcd screen returns but none of the settings work. The camera takes photos but you can't view them except on a laptop. Nothing has happened to it physically, it's just all gone very weird. Can anyone help me?

So to update it’s just the camera, the lens is ok! Any suggestions as to why it’s started behaving like this anyone?

Yes it does, and another clue maybe was the battery was totally empty (and it was half full two days earlier) and drained without me using it.
