They're using the same BG E2N grip and BP-511A battery. So technically yes.

Absolutely YES

I've been using the BG-E2N grip om my 30D and 50D,

The grip will fit and work 100% on the 20D, 30D, 40D and 50D.

Like others have said, the answer is yes. However, you will need to swap the AF-ON and * button functions on the camera to use back button focus with the grip since the grip doesn't have an AF-ON button.
