70D Image Scrambled?

The camera has been stored in a bag for 2 months, worked when it went in. Today I turn it on and there is a long delay between powering on and the screen coming on then it displays a write protect message. I remove the card and the write protect switch is missing from the card. I insert another card and there is another 5-10 second delay but the camera powers on and everything works normally except liveview and photos taken are garbled. The garbled image is static even in liveview.

Has anyone seen this issue before?
